The Eyeshadow Colours That Look Amazing on Dark Skin Tones
When it comes to adorning your eyelids with gorgeous shadow, you can use your eye colour as a guide but you can also look to your skin tone, too. If you have a dark skin tone, there are a few shades our resident makeup artist Magda Smyczek recommends.
Daytime Eyeshadow for Dark Skin Tones
"For a daytime look, richer reds like copper and burgundy can look beautiful. While olive can make for a lovely neutral day look, that's a bit different, too," suggests Magda.

Nighttime Eyeshadow for Dark Skin Tones
"When it comes to bright eyeshadows, you need to choose a pigment-rich product so it shows up on the skin. Bright colours like blues and orange can look amazing on richer skin tones, especially for a night out," notes Magda.

"The Huda Beauty Matte & Metals Melted Shadows have great shades for darker skin tones, as the creamy formulas are bright and highly pigmented. Use them as liner, eyeshadow or to add a pop of colour to the inner corners of your eyes," says Magda.
Intensify Your Eyes
To add depth and intensity to your eyeshadow look, Magda recommends using a little black eyeshadow along the lash line to give definition and to make your lashes look thicker. Day or night.
You can also add a richly pigmented shimmer (like the beautiful ones in the new Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette, €67) to the centre of the eyelids or inner corners to make eyes pop.
