Born in 1962 Aucoin was a makeup artist who worked with some of the world's biggest stars, everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Cindy Crawford. His looks graced the covers of world-famous magazines: Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Vogue and more. Sadly, the makeup artist passed away in 2002, but his legacy lives on thanks to his namesake makeup brand.

The products aren't cheap but Aucoin's knowledge is funnelled into the products which are kept modern and fresh, thanks to the U.S.-based team. "This is the best medium coverage foundation, it has such a beautiful texture. It's matte but dewy at the same time and imparts a natural glow with buildable coverage. It's great for everyday wear," says Fara. 

Fara's Pick #2: Kevyn Aucoin The Neo-Blush in Grapevine, €40

"I love that this is a three-in-one palette: a blush, contour and highlight that gives dimension to the face. The pigment payoff is incredible, one swipe and you're done. The berry hue is really uplifting too, so it will help you look wide awake even if you don't feel it," says Fara.

Fara's Pick #3: Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Liquid Liner, €36

"I have used this liner every day for the last five years, it is my go-to liquid liner. The nib is so easy to use, it glides on like a dream and is water-resistant so it does not budge whatever the weather (or my mood!). The tip is versatile, you can create a fine liner or a full-on feline flick," says Fara.

"This is genuinely my favourite lip gloss, it's super nourishing, isn't sticky and there are some really gorgeous shades to choose from. The super smart applicator was created to mimic the shape of a makeup artist's pinkie finger for precise, even application," says Fara.
