How to Cover Pesky Dark Circles Just Like Makeup Artists Do

Want to know how to cover dark circles like a pro? Then you've come to the right place. Conceal those panda eyes with our simple and effective 2-step guide.
1) For starters, you want to tread lightly when covering dark circles. The thin skin under your eyes naturally wrinkles when you smile, so if you cake on the makeup it will crease.
Start by colour correcting. Use a peach (on fair skin) or orange (on richer skin tones) concealer. The warm tones will cancel out the bluish, dark hue under the eyes. Use Stila Correct & Perfect Color Correcting Palette, €38, and gently tap with your ring finger a small amount of product under the eye area. Your ring finger (the one next to your pinky) uses the least amount of pressure, so it's gentle enough for the delicate skin and won't drag or pull if you just gently tap, tap, tap.
2) Follow with a lightweight, illuminating concealer. Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer, €51, is a hydrating and radiant product that offers good coverage but also nourishment to the delicate skin on the under-eye area. You can apply this with your ring finger, a small soft brush or a sponge.
Top tip: Apply the concealer in a V-shape from the outer corners of your eyes down to a point on your cheek and blend. Why? It helps your concealer blend seamlessly with your foundation and prevents you from getting bright tell-tale rings under your eyes.
