Huda Beauty has launched a sub-brand, Kayali, which is a collection of 4 fragrances and they are available at The Beauty Editor in-store and online!
Kayali means "my imagination" in Arabic and the fragrances are the brainchild of both Huda and her sister Mona. "Mona has always been obsessed with perfume and once she got me into fragrance layering I knew we had to turn this into a lifestyle," Huda told Vogue.co.uk.
The first collection 01 from Kayali consists of four fragrances: Vanilla | 28, Citrus | 08, Musk | 12 and Elixir | 11, €74.99 for 50ml and €95.99 for 100ml, which have been designed to be worn alone or layered together. Mona and Huda want to educate shoppers about scents, the olfactive families and how the different notes compliment each other. They've compiled some really useful guides to layering on the Huda Beauty website here.
Below you'll find the fragrances in order of intensity from strongest to lightest:
Huda and Mona say: A sultry combination of musks, woods, and unexpected floral accords.
The Beauty Editor says: Smells powdery, soapy and comforting.
Huda and Mona say: A modern take on a classic. Sophisticated indulgence in every drop.
The Beauty Editor says: Heady and sweet, this is a real crowd-pleaser.
Huda and Mona say: Our signature scent. Irresistible, sexy and feminine.
The Beauty Editor says: Oriental and bohemium with a sultry edge.
Huda and Mona say: A contemporary twist which subverts olfactory expectations.
The Beauty Editor says: Clean and fresh, the perfect summer holiday scent.
Not sure where to start with layering? Give Huda and Mona's favourite blend a try: Musk | 12, Vanilla | 28 and then Elixir | 11. They also recommend trying Citrus | 08, layered on top of Elixir | 11.
